PRP (platelet-rich plasma) is obtained from the patient’s own blood. A sample of blood is drawn in a similar manner as with a routine blood test. The blood is spun a centrifuge to separate out the platelets, which are rich in growth factors (substances required for stimulation of growth in living cells). Plasma (the fluid part of the blood) enriched with platelets (PRP) can be injected into the scalp and other areas to stimulate hair growth and promote healing. PRP for Hair Restoration: HOW DOES PRP HAIR RESTORATION WORK? PRP hair restoration uses an advanced technique to stimulate hair follicles for stronger, more robust hair growth. Hair follicles that are not producing hair may not actually be dead, but rather injured, compromised, or dormant. Growth factors found within platelet-rich plasma can activate adult stem cells in non-producing hair follicles, promote cell growth, and encourage the formation of new blood vessels to carry blood and nutrients to regenerated follicles. PRP HAIR RESTORATION RESULTS Hair restoration with PRP injections is a safe, non-surgical treatment with fast recovery, no scarring, and natural-looking results. Many patients see new hair growth and improvement in density and thickness as early as two months after a PRP hair restoration procedure. However, it will be four to eight months before optimal results are visible, with continued improvement for up to one year. Many patients achieve dramatic, long-lasting results with just one treatment. PRP Facial Rejuvenation: Reverse the signs of aging such as fine lines, wrinkles, and creases with the help of the Platelet Rich Plasma or PRP serum. When injected a few millimeters into your skin, it can induce the collagen layer to rejuvenate giving you smooth, radiant skin.
