How Does Xeomin Work?
Xeomin is similar to Botox in that it is made from the botulinum and is approved for the treatment of many cosmetic indications such as frown lines, crows feet and, forehead wrinkles.
The effects of Xeomin occur within one week, and the results last from three to six months, making it comparable to Botox in terms of both onset and duration of action. Xeomin should not be used interchangeably with other botulinum products.
How Xeomin Compare to Botox?
Like Botox, Xeomin works by blocking nerve activities resulting in a temporary relaxation of muscles in the treated area. Xeomin differs from Botox in two ways. Xeomin does not need to be refrigerated which may result in easier distribution. Additionally, Xeomin so has no additives, just botulinum toxin type A. This may mean that there is less risk of developing antibodies against Xeomin than Botox.
